
NASSAU| Police are on the scene of a police-involved shooting in the area of Palm Beach Street and Cordeaux Avenue. A male suspect was shot and transported by EMS to hospital for further medical attention.
A 25-year-old man was hospitalised after he was reportedly shot during an armed robbery on Kennedy Drive in Grand Bahama on Tuesday night.
According to preliminary police reports, shortly after 10:00 p.m., a concerned citizen contacted the Police Control Room and reported that an unknown man, who appeared to be bleeding, was outside his residence requesting assistance.
Officers responded and found the man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services transported him to Rand Memorial Hospital for further medical treatment.
Police said their initial investigation indicates that the victim was leaving a business establishment on Kennedy Drive when he was approached by two masked men dressed in dark clothing. Both suspects were reportedly armed with firearms and demanded money from the victim.
