NASSAU| So Bob Coughlin, the man who got property in the Exumas for a said development but is building his house, wants to stop the long term development project, which will be a Rosewood brand, for the people of Exuma.
Following a petition by the residents, who agreed with the Rosewood project, Bob (the foreigner) has decided to fly in one signatory who supported the Rosewood brand to a meeting by Town Planning to suggest he did not know that he signed onto the development.
Now this signatory, Neville Ferguson aka Fredrick Ferguson, flew to Nassau, with the assistance of opposition voice Bob Coughlin, to suggest he agreed, but didn’t agree. What kinda Bahamian is that? Ferguson suggested that he only signed on because he thought he was getting a job? People who can read far better than Ferguson and are well into their 80s also signed the petition and are huge supporters of the Rosewood project which will attract business, jobs and long term opportunities for residents.Bob, we understand, is going around trying to get residents to join his opposition to development for generations of Bahamians – imagine that?!
Anyhow, Members of the Local Government of Black Point, Exuma are ready to support the Rosewood project brought to the community by developer Felipe MacClean.
All we say is this: we believe new money coming into the Bahamas for residents should not and cannot take forever to get approvals, all because one man (Bob Coughlin) wants to have his way on Exuma. And he ain’t from the place. WHAT IS THIS?
