NASSAU| As the Ministry prepares for the reopening of schools on August 31, Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister the Hon. I. Chester Cooper and ministry executives presented promotion letters to 15 security officers and one senior mistress today.
Security officers are integral members of the education system, helping to ensure that students learn and play in safe and conducive environments.
DPM Cooper congratulated the group of officers while noting the important role they play on school campuses throughout the nation.
“When you contribute to the life of a child, you contribute to the future,” he said.
Permanent Secretary Neil Campbell announced several improvements for the Security Division, including four new patrol vehicles, improved telephone connectivity for security booths, and new uniforms to better support officers in carrying out their daily duties.
The promotions and planned improvements reflect the Ministry’s continued commitment to strengthening school safety and supporting the officers who help protect students and staff across the nation.
