NASSAU| Police are investigating an alleged shooting incident that occurred Wednesday on Cowpen Road, resulting in a 15-year-old male being hospitalised.
The police report reads:
“According to the preliminary report, shortly before 6:30 p.m., the victim was reportedly driving a silver Nissan Note along Cowpen Road with a male friend when he heard a gunshot and subsequently realised that he had sustained gunshot injuries to his back.”
“The victim reportedly pulled the vehicle over and ran towards the Golden Isles Road area, while his male companion ran in another direction.”
“The victim then made his way home, where his older brother transported him to hospital for medical attention.”
“The victim is currently in stable condition, and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.”
“The circumstances surrounding this incident are unclear, and police are working to determine what transpired. The investigation remains ongoing.”
