The newly appointed Board of the National Insurance Board – Bahamas held its inaugural meeting at NIB Headquarters, marking the official start of its tenure.
Chaired by newly appointed Board Chairman Michelle Pindling-Sands, the meeting brought together Board members, NIB Director Dr. Tami Francis and members of the Executive Team.
Minister responsible for Public Service, Labour and National Insurance, the Hon. Pia Glover-Rolle, also addressed the Board, outlining key priorities for NIB, including the long-term sustainability of the National Insurance Fund; investment diversification; strategic development of NIB’s real estate portfolio; technology modernisation; workforce development and organisational strengthening; employee productivity and accountability; positive industrial relations; policy and legislative reform and strengthened collections.
NIB welcomes the new Board and looks forward to its leadership and service as the organisation continues its commitment to protecting the social security of the people we serve and remaining at the Heart of What Matters.
