NASSAU| Bahamas Power and Light (BPL) clarified that the overturned trailer involved in the traffic incident at the Baillou Hill Road and Tonique Williams-Darling Highway roundabout was neither owned nor operated by the company.

BPL says the trailer was subcontracted by Aggreko to transport a power generation unit for export and maintains it had no involvement in the transport operation.

The utility also confirmed the driver was not injured and says the company bears no liability in the incident.

Meanwhile Bahamas Power and Light employee Wellington Porter met with the company’s Chief Executive Officer this morning, where he learned that his five-day suspension has been extended for an additional 20 days.
