Grand Bahamians say goodbye to one of their own

Funeral-serviceSFREEPORT, Grand Bahama Island — The funeral service for the late Fairleen Lightbourn-Smith, affectionately known as “Mama” by her children, grandchildren and by many whom she nurtured and cared for was held at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Saturday, December 21.

Ms Fairleen was famous for her bread and cakes that people travelled from East End to West End to buy.
People from all walks of life went to her service including Ministers of the Gospel, Government Ministers and members of the Opposition Party including the Member of Parliament for West End the Hon Obie Wilchcombe who gave acknowledgments and Senator Rev. Frederick McAlpine who did a Tribute to Ms Fairleen.
