NASSAU, BAH — Bahamas Press can confirm police are investigating a shooting incident that has left a 29-year-old male of Cassandra Close, Golden Gates in hospital.
The incident reportedly occurred around 6:30 pm on this evening [Tuesday].
Early reports suggest that the victim was at Cambridge Lane off Baillou Hill Road along with a female friend and her six (6) year old daughter, when two (2) males approached him, one of whom wore a red windbreaker. One of the men produced a handgun where the victim was subsequently shot.
The male was taken to hospital via private vehicle where he is detained in stable condition.
During the incident the female neither the child were injured.
Active police investigations continue.
