Something went wrong for the FNM though as the party was ‘LATE AGAIN’ to organize any supporter for Labour Day…FNM and DNA failed to show up to support Bahamian WORKERS!!!

Grand Bahama – Freeport PLPs turned up in Freeport for Labour Day as Michelle Reckley and the Urban Renewal Forces gathered a masterful 400-plus strong to march with Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Perry Christie on Friday.

Oh, what a Stronger Bahamas we have today!

Meanwhile, in the capitol, the Governing Party managed to display its readiness for a general election any day now as hundreds marched in gold with the banner “PLP AND LABOUR”!

Bahamas Press believes after such a marvelous 2015/2016 Budget Communication where the Minister of Finance displayed a magnificent performance in his management of the country, the troops were ignited and began gathering around the branches of the PLP! No Bahamian wants to be on the side of the defeated and we at Bahamas Press believe that picture is being made clearer by the day!

And while the tide was clearly in the favour of the PLP, the FNM and DNA opted not to walk with workers. What a sad indictment is that on leadership!

In 1991 and again in 1997 when former Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Hubert Ingraham held the leadership of the FNM – Labour Day was one of his masterful stokes convincing the people that BETTER was to come. Ingraham began his march to power up the hill of East Street like a colossus! He mobilized a movement behind him just like PINDLING, BUTLER AND HANNA did before him! Many remembered how Ingraham, dressed in his infamous “black hat” and holding his walking cane, had thousands marching behind him in solidarity with workers. What yinner think happened to the FNM, which these days cannot get its people to a fair, much less a march?! Boy – dey in a sad state!

Give us a STRONGER BAHAMAS, the marchers along the PLP parade shouted! And we have a strong leader in Christie!

It looks like the country is going with the PLP! It ain’t LONG NAH!

We report yinner decide!

Can you feel it? It Ain't Long NOW!

Support by the PLP proved they stand alongside workers in the country!
