Nassau, Bahamas — “I don’t wish to be in close proximity to the residing Chief Justice, Sir Michael Barnett,” Cheryl Grant-Bethell told her bosses in a letter against the Sexual Predator. Bethell has now turned the Attorney General’s office into one ‘hot mess’ as the battle continues unabated in the department.

Hubert Ingraham, while in the House of Assembly cowardly attacked Bethell stating that he had “Good and valid reasons” as to why he withdrew his support of her as Director of Public Prosecutions [DPP]. And like the foreigners recently appointed to head up the Department of Works, URCA, and the Lands Department, Ingraham has moved full steam ahead to appoint a Jamaican national to the post of DPP. His complete and utter BASTARDIZATION of  Bahamian professionals continues.

“With more than 1,000 lawyers called to the Bahamas Bar, it is incalculable and unconscionable to see Ingraham find his person of choice abroad. He is mean and mean-spirited, anti-Bahamian and grotesque selling out this country,” a seasoned attorney told BP. And let’s prove this point further.

Yesterday scores of workers at the AG office were sent home for another week as department has no air-condition. Attorney General John Delaney was seen in the Senate holding placards and praising the proposals for new courts to be designed for the system, however, if you go into the Post Office building and look above his door, you will see the infestation of mold ‘Big as Billy’. BP did our own inspection of the building as workers sat in the hallway exhausted by the sweltering heat and crippled by the inhalation of mold. Could you imagine the unsanitary conditions workers have to endure in this department? They are inhaling MOLD everyday!

BP, these conditions  in the department  we are working under are inhumane as outlined under the Geneva Conventions. In the AG’s office alone, the vents are blackened with mold and people are getting sick. We cannot work under these conditions,” a worker in the department told BP as they were exiting the postal building.

“Everyday lawyers and clerks in that department must sit in the sweltering heat to ready cases. The AG isn’t saying anything about it, the PS is  hushed, the Director is passing the buck and in the end, cases are being stalled as work hours are shortened in the department.

Meanwhile, union boss John Pinder has made a Houdini move on the matter. Pinder has yet to both inspect any of the complaints and call on the government to rectify the problem.

“In the end, cases are being stalled and justice in the country is  grinding to a  halt,” one manager in the department told BP.

  1. anyone who truly knows about the CJ or the law firm he once worked would not have a hard time believing this story. he (CJ) is a sick, tormented savage…just like the rest of his rich sick friends…what a hell hole of a country

  2. This is so disgraceful, and I understand her complaint was well documented immediately after the alleged assault. It is amazing that the PM would appoint a man like this who had no judicial experience, over the many fine sitting judges. Had he chosen one of them for CJ, he wouldnt have this scandal on his hands. We should at this time be concentrating on putting in place, measures to improve the justice system to ensure the many persons awaiting trial for criminal offences can be tried within a reasonable time. Instead, we are dealing with this unseemly affair! I do hope the CJ will do the decent and honourable thing! But we’re in The Bahamas after all where we seem to have no regard for what is decent and honest. We remain in place, regardless of how it looks and smells and selfishly soil and destroy our fine institutions! Alas, so it is!

  3. We cry shame on the CJ for such dirty and nasty behaviour. It is unbecoming of a man of his stature. I blame Hubert, he knew about the behaviour and still went ahead and had this mongrel knighted.BP, you warned the Nation. Shame on this Mugabe Govt.

  4. 6. I TOLD YOU GUYS THAT SHE HAD REASON TO GO TO HIS OFFICE ONCE, WHEN HE WAS HER BOSS, AND HE UNZIPPED HIS TROUSERS AND TOOK OUT HIS DOGGIE AND ASKED HER IF SHE WANTED SOME OF THIS. SHE TURNED AROUND AND LEFT, BUT NOT BEFORE HE SPANKED HER ON THE BEHIND. HE IS A PERVERT.
