  1. Oh! Bahamasyouth, we will definitely disagree on this one, I don’t think HAI wanted to return to politics, but was forced to by the powers that be, because only he could have beaten PC, ………reliable sources say that HAI can’t fire Tommy, because the word came from the top not to trouble Tommy, what a state our nation
    is in.
OK I’ll look at the ministers, Vanderpool: he should have been let go from the Ms Universe debacle, a waste of taxpayers money and no tangible results, for not showcasing our culture or people to the world, I’m trying to be brief, Earl Deveaux, the Arawak Cay mess, and  the one year of not paying BEC in Inagua, who do you think is gonna pick up that tab?(US!!!), What doe Brent Symonette do anyway?, he is always involved in some conflict of interest, and he doesn’t seem to bright, Branville is all flash no substance, a bright skin Tommy, once your are rounding up Haitians it seems like your doing so right, but they have got to find innovative ideas on how to stop us from kicking out monies to send these illegals home and make them pay their own way back, so I’m not impressed, I can’t speak on Mrs. Butler-Turner or Mr. Cartwright,  I thought the nurse thing was nasty with Minns, but I’ll give him a pass, the star of the pack is Bannister, but I think he is in his honeymoon stage now with Education, but we will finally see if he is for real, if the PM, doesn’t call election, I don’t think he is feeling his bench, but we’ll see how it plays out, I’m trying to be fair here.

  2. I really feel that our ELECTORIAL LAWS needs to be changed because Its hurting the public, i really feel that voters should VOTE BASED UPON THEIR Constituency MEMBER and vote for which leader should win overall. Example: Im in the Elizabeth Constituency… I have a LOUSY REPRESENTATIVE who only shows up until its ELECTION TIME and I’m not being sarcastic. THANK THE LORD in 2007 my decisions to vote FNM wasnt difficult because Malcom Adderley is a PLP. But Im afraid that in 2010 or whenever I might want to choose a CERTAIN REPRESENTATIVE BUT I DONT WANT their PARTY officials to be in office.  Making my decisions to either vote for my representative or vote for the other party officials. But with all due respect… I understand vividly some of yal complaints about Mr. Ingraham and I agree with most. Hes very arrogant and he needs to UNIFY The BAHAMAS instead of disfranchising others. But if you ask me I have strong respect for a BULK of his ministers such as Vincent Vanderpool Wallace ,Earl Deveaux, Phenton Neymour, Desmond Bannister, Charles Maynard, Hubert Minnis.Larry Cartwright, Brent Symonett, Branville McCartney and Loretta Butler. Who are all doing a average to above average job.

  3. Well my boy, I have to respect your choices, the only problem I have with all of this is we have to wait five years to weed out the garbage, we need some sort of recall, to get these guys out after two and a half years, if we are not please, if you can get so many citizens to sign a petition, and have a bi-election, to suffer for five years ain’t fun for none of us PLP or FNM, we may disagree, but I respect the way you feel about weakness, but I think acting like a bully is a cover up for insecurities.

  4. 5. Awakened what you said is very very true about the FNM under HAI administration. But I rather him anyday compared to Perry Christie though. But I DO AGREE With what you said about how HAI dont “I think the PLP did some stupidness in their term, but not to the extend of this group, changing everything the other government put in place just to be nasty, move the police out of the school, now everyday jookin’ up!, the news broadcast is insane, and anyone who is not bias to one side or the other can be please with what’s going on?,”I think all this pointing finger and trying to outshine the other party is STUPID and hurting Bahamians. FNM needs to stop that and if something worked under PLP gvt then they should continue to it. and THATS WHAT THE FNM HAS NOT been doing. But I still stand by my words and say that I support Mr, Ingraham compared to Mr. Chritsie. Mr. Christie is a such a nice person but I feel most people take his “Niceness for Weakness”. And Im not FNM but I look at leadership traits when determining who Im going to support. I ga tell you dis though I really Like FRED MITCHEL and ?Brave Davis? among the PLP side. They have the traits of what i called a good leader now the reason I have mr. Davis in question mark is because I recently started to observe him more as a potential PRIMEMINISTER. I dont know what would await my VOTE come 2012 but if its Hubert vs Perry… I more than likely will go for Hubert once again. And if its Perry vs Branville McCartney… THATS A QUICK VOTE RED. Now if its Tommy or Brent vs Perry then thats a toss- up.

    • Yeah you are a sucker for punishment as your thinking has no reasoning. You are one who seems to admire the wicked and will not change your thinking.I remember bullying persons like you while growing up in Bains town.are you one of their sons or daughters? You pick a thug over a man of reason, shame.

  6. Thanks Kim, you know what?, you made my day with your comments and I am going to apologize to Nisha, for whatever I may have said to offend her, SORRY NISHA, although we may disagree, we don’t need to go there, again thanks Kim, although we have had a nice disagreement before, I think of you,…… that is from what I have read, a fair and balance person, not the Bill O’Reily type though,(LOL),  have a great XMAS season, you to Nisha.

PS: And BP, I’m liking the new look!!!, keep up the good work.

  7.  Good morning Awakened, It’s good to see you can be the bigger person. What you are saying holds a lot of merits and I have to respect you for realizing things didn’t have to get to that point. It’s just that I am a woman myself and I can’t feel good about seeing another woman being degraded in that manner, because I never know when it will happen to me on here or anywhere. I did not have a problem with people disagreeing with her, because this is a free country, but the nasty name calling, I found it very degrading towards women. We are all guilty of offending others at time, I know plenty times I have been guilty in offending people with my comments, but I am grateful that no one never responded to me by calling me a sexually deprived loose woman and that‘s not all. Anyway, I think we should refrain from the entire ill name calling and making discriminating statements. You are so right, men should be able to express themselves the way they see fit and not allow anyone to dictate to them, so I apologize for making my comment about men being more talkative than women. I agree it should be equal rights; I don’t know why us women seems to think we should be the ones doing all the talking all the time. It was just a silly thing for me to say.

  9. Kim these were her words,
SMDTA!!! Leave the politics in the House of Assembly and God’s business in church! I am a Bapist and that service is not important me, leave the taxpayers dollars alone! The govt was where they are suppose to be, in the Bahamas. 120 went and you still want the Cabinet?????”Fred Mitchell will visit OSAMA BIN LADIN if he knew where he was, he ain’t gat nothing to do.
My comment was that is an ignorant and partisan statement, especially the last part about Fred, was he wrong for attending?, I thought that was low.
Yes that was her opinion, and some people were offended, they gave their points she gave hers, a lot of it was nasty, but when it got to the point of “Ego Crushing”, feelings got hurt, I agree, we don’t need that, but man or woman, we all can’t expect to throw stones and scuds, and just when someone gets their biz fix, feelings hurt or everyone attacking them, now all a sudden it’s the female is the weaker vessel, we must be fair, words like “men talk more than women“, I think was meant to try and bring down someone right?, I think men have learnt from their mother’s not to be taken advantage of, it has to be fair, you can’t just draw the female card, like the race card, to gain points, I thought men and women were equal, this site should be a place to acquire knowledge and information, I think all sides need to cool down.

  10. Hi Tristan,

We can’t build a country if we are going to continue attacking people for having their own personal opinions. I understand Nisha comment might have came across as uncaring to some people, but we have to accept it as her opinion. Tristan, you stated the facts as to why it was important for governing party to be there, I read it and I agreed with the reasons you presented. Nisha has a mind of her own, if she didn’t see the need for the PM or member from his party to be there, then that was the way she felt. I think it is selfish to try to make people feel and think the same way you do. This is a free country and everybody should be entitled to having an opinion of their own. In my opinion, I feel she was wrongfully attacked on here. She merely stated her opinion and then all the nasty insults came at her one after the next, I don’t think anybody deserve to be treated like that. How can we build a country like this, when you can‘t express yourself without people jumping all over you and making up things about you? I agree with you though about Bahamians needing the support of their government, but if they are not willing to support us, then we will have to wait until election and vote them out. When the people weren’t please with Perry they voted him out right? So, I guess they will do the same thing with Ingraham come next election, if they are not happy with him. I don’t know why the Prime Minister don’t view these events happening in the Anglican Church as important but from last year when it was Archbishop Drexel Gomez retirement he did not bothered to attend or have the decency to send a member from his tribe to represent the party or explain to the public why they were not in attendants. I am starting to believe that these no shows are intentional. He seems as if he is holding a grudge towards the Anglicans, but if that’s the case, he should try and let it go, because holding on to grudges can’t be good for his health.

  11. Your right Tristan and just because it was this government that shirked their responsibility, that she(Nisha) responded the way she did, I am not a PLP by no means, I am an Independent, but I would not lie that I don’t like the way HAI administrates the affairs of this country, he makes a joke, a game of it, seems to have no care for the small man on the ground, look at what’s going on now, but I do not have hate for HAI, I am not looking for anything from him or his Ministers, but I seriously thought PC did a better job running this country, I think the PLP did some stupidness in their term, but not to the extend of this group, changing everything the other government put in place just to be nasty, move the police out of the school, now everyday jookin’ up!, the news broadcast is insane, and anyone who is not bias to one side or the other can be please with what’s going on?, “COME ON!!”,  they borrow money like it’s going out of style, they need to sit down and consult with the people more, invest in the people more, we have a lot of wonderful ideas on the ground, but they seem to only hear the special interest groups, they have already served half a term and are still blaming the PLP, now they won’t even follow protocol, and big up our own, I’m sure we all want the best for our country, but some of us only want for ourselves, if things are managed well in this country, I get mine, by working for it, not on the gown tail of any politician, FNM or PLP.

  12. Kim, I think she was verbally attacked too harsh but her uncaring ramarks against Bishop Cornell Moss was kinda irresponsible. While we build a country, we must not be selfish and only check for onlt what is going on here. We are also apart of a community in the Caribbean. We dont celebrate our people enough when they accomplish huge success and we wonder why other countries grab them and run with them simply because we dont appreciate our own. how can we build a country like that. The appointment in Guyana could mean so many great things between the two countries. We only see as far as our toe but we dont look beyond that. A Bahamian is Third incharge of a Country in South America with a population of over 700,000 people. I think that is something significant. Or s it because he is an Anglican. I have notice the Anglican Church in The Bahamas has lost much respect from its citizen. This Country  the Caribbean is the worst when it comes to protocol. One may not know what is protocol. Education is very important and knowing your history is een more impotant. If some of us had knew our History and was very much educated, the remarks would have neer uttered from our lips. But in The Bahamas thats just the way it is

  13. These people on here sum Nisha right up and they don’t even know her. That’s how personal they is take these things. I hate to see people at one another throat like that. The way they talk about this young lady you have to wonder if they have any grandmother, mother, sisters or daughters. It was just disturbing to say the least. I mean I thought members from the governing party should have gone, but they didn’t go, too bad! We still have a country to build. Anyway, I am happy to see a sister standing up for herself.

  14. @nisha rolle
Hey Nish..I still want to meet you at Starbucks ! Can we still meet? There’s a lot to talk about over a cup of vanilla latte…

  15. @Bahamasyouth
NO NO NO BahamasYOUTH, that is not allowed. I mean why you can’t just use language without the expletives? WHY? Your educated right? Come on THIS SITE IS RATED G!

Secondly, people be more civil in your discourse with each other, PLEASE! Why everyone want pickup rock, knife and gun in this country? WHY?

    Bahamas Press/Editor

  16. @Russell Johnson
LOl really now RUSSELL… I could care less what you said because on a very serious note… I find you to be beyond DIFFICULT. You really needs to stop living the PLP life and stop being so bias. YES FNM has done plenty of foolishness and so did the PLP at-least be MAN ENOUGH to admit that. Anyways I stand by my words FIRMLY because It saddens and upsets me that persons like yourself breath ******** PoliTRICKS instead of being BAHAMIAN to work together to solve PROBLEMS to make THIS BAHAMAS A GREAT COUNTRY.

  17. @Bahamasyouth
I sure have gotten under your skin, but a word of advice never let someone know that they have said something to hurt you.I am who I am,so get used to it or just ignore my responses.” PEOPLE LIKE YOU is what I HATE IN THIS COUNTRY”.Come on now hatred of me just because I hold your feet to the fire.Despite my abuse of you on this site I dont hate you but just wish to have you look at life differently and not by tunnel vision.Merry Xmas and hope you enjoy with your family.

  18. @nisharolle
“WEARING A RED UNDERWEAR THAT IS AFFECTING MY BRAIN”.lolo lolo enough my dear so I quit and will only say of you from now on that you are misinformed on some matters.Dont be so sensitive as this sis the sounding off blog.Even BP cooks grits and throws it in our faces from time to time.Get a thick skin or you might have a heart attack and I dont want that because despite our many differences at least you try to justify your responses.Merry Xmas my dear ,Love you.

  19. @nisharolle
Nisha, I remembered when I used to think the same way, but not after working around some of them. I realized quickly that plenty of them are worst than women. They were always gossiping in all up in everybody’s business, all concern about who sleeping with who. Man, I tell you they would run circles around us women any day.

  20. @Awakened AKA WELMUDDOES
I said my piece earlier and was viciously attacked for my opinion. If you did not accept my views then, why should I believe you will accept it now?

    “THIS IS WHAT I SAID”
“SMDTA!!! Leave the politics in the House of Assembly and God’s business in church! I am a Bapist and that service is not important me, leave the taxpayers dollars alone! The govt was where they are suppose to be, in the Bahamas. 120 went and you still want the Cabinet?????”
Fred Mitchell will visit OSAMA BIN LADIN if he knew where he was, he ain’t gat nothing to do

    “THIS WAS YOUR RESPONSE”
Those statements from that young lady was totally ignorant and partisan, I guess she’s alright though, we have got to grow up.

From that short sentence you quickly summized that I was totally ignorant and partisan (F.N.M) and needed to grow up!!

Well I guess I won’t be answering you at all, because according to you and others without even knowing me, I am AN IGNORANT, PARTISAN,STUPID WUTLESS BAPTIST, WEARING A RED UNDERWEAR THAT IS AFFECTING MY BRAIN, AND I MAY HAVE IGNORANT CHILDREN SOME DAY AND I AM A SEXUALLY DERPRIVED LOOSED WOMAN SLEEPING WIH MY M.P!

With all of that going on in my life I cannot answer you! But despite all that, I never knew BAHAMIAN MEN use to row like that!! I thought only women use to carry on like that!! BOL!!!

You and welmuddoes enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  21. @nisharolle Good Mornin’ Nish, OK!,l’ve done you in enough, let’s get back to the main point of why you think it was a bad idea for the Government to send a Rep. to Guyana?, I know you enjoy running on, but please answer with some sort of intellect, don’t duck the question.

  22. @Awakened
Yea, wellmudoes AKA Awakened, when you decide which one of your psycho personalities is rowing me, I will answer you! I can only deal with one psycho at a time right now!

    @Russell Johnson
You are a P.L.P (people who like punishment), so insulting you for calling me a jerk, will waste my time right now.

I don’t mind the insults sometimes, but there are days when I will not allow you or anyone else for that matter, to get away with it!

I will cook your grits another day. By the way how is Mr. Peet?????

  23. @Omar Archer Sr.
I don’t think this is the place for all of the name calling and accusations. BP I thought you always say you are G rated. Tell all of these people to behave please.

  24. Forrester Carroll please refrain from calling people stupid while blogging. What if someone was to call you a homosexual and accused you of molesting young school children while you were a teacher in Exuma? You would be highly insulted wouldn’t you?

  25. @Russell Johnson
SEE this is exactly why I cant stand you… If anybody says something GOOD about the FNM its a big problem with you and if somebody says anything bad about the PLP its a even bigger issue with you…. PEOPLE LIKE YOU is what I HATE IN THIS COUNTRY. Your a very Ignorant, Disrespectful, BIAS, Fruitless FOOL and you needs to STOP being so BIAS. The person said they are basically INDEPENDENT VOTER…. just because they might disagree with you THEY ARE A FNM…. thats STUPIDITY to the highest and for this reason YOU NEEDS TO REALLY WAKE up and smell THE COFFEE.

Yes FNM shouldve been there POINT BLANK BUT COME ON STOP making this so Immature and BIAS.

  26. Not one Govt representative was present and this is a disgrace.Am not going toi allow saasy mama punks and perverts to cause this conversatrion to digress so dont try that.So what if you are from Bains Town? That means nothing to me so apologise for the lack of attention shown by the Govt.I just lovce it when am accused of putting politics into every conversation as I realise that my attackers must live in a bubble.Everything in the Bahamas is politics now maybe you can tell us the real reason why no one from that side travelled to a monumental event.

  27. Mike :You know, I actually agree with nisharolle on this one, but for different reasons. I have to admit, that I am neither FNM nor PLP, I voted for the PLP in the last election, but in the election before that FNM and I am an anglican. Now that I got that out of the way.The world is in the worst recession since the great depression. Sending a large government delegation to an event like that would in my opinion would send the wrong message. Now, I am sure this isn’t the reason they didn’t go, but it is a very good reason.
    [Reply]

You are such a jerk let someone else who can make sense speak for the Govt.I see where you have changed your name but your language is the same.Wutless.wutless just like the party you support.Someone should have been there, bottom line.

  28. @nisharolle I knew you were a BImbo, and a young one at that, anytime you see the word “Dread”, then you know what your dealing with, what a loser.

@Tristan Thanks Tristan, for a very substantive explanation as to why a government Rep should have been there, this has nothing to do with politics, but more to do with character.

  29. @welmuddoes

Muddoes what are you talking about?? Have you outed yourself??

Do you have two screen names?? My conversation was with Forrester and Awakened, so that means Muddoes is also Awakened or Forrester.

    Mudda sick dread!!!

If you does row with yourself on Bahamaspress, you have won that battle of wits fer true!!

  30. I was reading this thread from this morning and I was very shocked but not suprised on how The Bahamas has missed the boat on Education and History. Reading the comments, I can tell that many of you do not know history. Let me educate some of you tonight as to why The Government should have been present at the Concecration of the Anglican Bishop in Guyana. Before Independence, we were Colonies ruled by the British Monarchy. In the Colonies, the Anglican Church was the central church and cental figure apart from the government and that is why the Anglican church is the State church for British Independent countries. A Bahamian grew up in the grove in Nassau went to Seminary to be ordained as a priest at the age of 18 and 4 years later became priest is now the Anglican bishop of Guyana. In Guyana’s Protocol list. Bishop Cornell Moss is Third incharge of the Country. A boy from the grove is the Third man in Charge of a country that is Far bigger than ours and that dont derseve our Governments attention. WoW!! This isnt political, this is a bahamian whom was chosen out of many from different Caribbean Islands and by extentsion around the world to be chosen for this position in the Church. I think it should have been a representitive from the Government as mostof them are Anglicans to see and give the support to a great Bahamian for his achievements and contribution to the Christ and his Church

  31. And if the people of the country think its important that makes it government buisness as the fnm is the government that makes it fnm business thats how it get political ib refrence to lack of government presence in guyana at the ordination

  32. yall vast all dat money on the look at me show 5.8 mil (miss universe) an cant support the ordination at least at junior minister level disgrace

  33. the same holy house where they crack jokes and curse all day all dis talk bout old n tired is ageist persons contribute or can regardless of age………as for everyone corrupt speak fa yaself you seem to be wanting to give a confession…….similiar to the stories of who is gay or straight how do people know who sleeping with whom or which women loose from tight this is all gutter mutter personal attacks the people still need answers to the crime and unemployment maybe youll could answer dat take ya time ya done had 3 years

  34. @nisharolle Your welcome Nish, I know I won that battle of wits, now I’ll get back to the serious issues, I love ya because you one of us, but don’t mess with Bain Town people, our head bad.

  35. i like Nisha; she can take just as much as she gives…as for carroll, what a disgrace! your mind is twisted carroll!!! you are evil and perverted!!!

  36. @Media
Hey media…is this the “Jerry Springer/Steve show”??? I thought that we were invited here to discuss the issues of “the day” not issues of “the heart”? Man…that Nisha is really “sassy, and wired” lol! Would love to meet her in Starbucks, and take it from there…

  37. You people are disgraceful. Forrester J. Carroll, you of all people surprise me. I thought better of you! and you want to get in the Honourable House of Assembly? No Way!

Get a life all of you, we are one people!

  38. @Awakened
Again, Nigger please! One thing is certain, my eleven words sure hit the spot! Read my post to you amd yours to me and tell me whose babbling!!

DONT WORRY MIKE I GAT THIS!!!

Pops, your life is an open book. When you bed a loose woman and have a child, you should take care of them!! Yea, my neighbour had an absent father, and his living conditions was not one to be proud about. Funny thing he was the splitting image of (you know who) and called him DAD!

Nowadays the Bahamas would not have so many loose woman, if men would stop being Sperm Donars and take care of their responsibilties.

SEEMS THAT POPS KNOWS A LOT ABOUT LOOSE WOMEN!

    Now whose doing the bedding??

  39. Mike, how did you get into this fight? Were you following her comments? For your information it is because of my being a senior citizen and my life experiences gained over the years, that I am able to detect a phony a mile away. I am also able to tell from a person’s conduct of themselves, who they are and what they are about. This Rolle woman(young or old)is a bitter person who has many issues and I leave both you and her to your respective challenges in life. You may answer if you wish but don’t expect any more responses from me.I have no more precious time to spend, foolishly, on you both.

  40. Forrester J Carroll :Thanks, AWAKENED, for helping to take care of that Nisha Rolle person. She really seems to have issues; I just hope she has a J.O.B and not one of those given to her for “Services rendered” by her FNM MP. From her deportment, on this site, she reminds me of those loose women who take pride in bedding down, at nights, with their married Members of Parliament and then in the daylight, parade around town pretending to be respectable, church-going women. Indeed they have the audacity to demand respect.
    [Reply]

that is a disgusting comment!!! as a senior citizen, you should be ashamed of yourself!

  41. Thanks, AWAKENED, for helping to take care of that Nisha Rolle person. 42. Rodney :NCL, I’m confused. Are you saying that BP is PLP? I didn’t know the PLP put out a statement on the FNM no show. I know BP wrote this article and its his right to make that observation so how you mix the PLP into being behind this? Please explain. Man you confuse me even more when you started talking about corrupt political organizations. You sure you ain’t talking about the government that gave Arawak Cay to the white knights and making us pay for it, sending a hundred million dollar road job to ARgentina when we already proved Bahamians could build roads, and ripping off NIB left, right and center? You sure you ain’t mean that group? The same group who had a minister change the customs rules so his sister in law can’t pay her proper taxes? The same one that tried to bypass the law on local government elections and had to fire a minister because the supreme court ruled against them? The same one that sees nothing wrong with leaving a Parliamentary registrar in place who admitted to wide spread corruption and voter card selling on his watch that affected the recent elections? That’s who you talking about? Please let me know man because I’m really confused here.
    [Reply]

don’t you’ll know that PLP and FNM are corrupt??? hell, this whole country is corrupt, so i really don’t get it when we try to single out one party as having a monopoly on corruption. face it, we are a backward thinking third world corrupt country – fnm and plp included!

  43. NCL, I’m confused. Are you saying that BP is PLP? I didn’t know the PLP put out a statement on the FNM no show. I know BP wrote this article and its his right to make that observation so how you mix the PLP into being behind this? Please explain. 44. WOW.. I cannot believe that PLP are actually here trying to make the ordianation of an abnglician bishop in Guyana and the FNM not been there a political issue…..

  45. @nisharolle I never wanted to go here but I’m kinda glad
your as petty as I thought, I knew I was right about you and that is gratifying enough, but I’ll continue, your lack of intelligence is showing, because your insults can’t even move on, diarrhea again, go into your treasure trove of verbal jousting and find some new words please!!!!, you want to tell me what to do, but you have your pathetic babbling all over all the place, you like it like I do don’t you?, it’s takes the place of that sexual release your not getting, it seems you like to tell people what to do, so are your the GESTAP-HO of this site,(LOL), I know some diarrhea fall in ya mouth just now, cause ya mouth was wide open, you see how FJ Carroll been dropping it on you,(with class too), you should be shame, running on with ignorance when sensible people trying to teach you something to fill in that spacious cavity you have in your brain, in the future do what you do best and read, because writing is not your strong suit, I await with baited breath for your reply, as I know you can’t control yourself, you like it, and I love giving it to you, YOU CAUSE THIS NISH!!!!.

  46. @Forrester J Carroll J.P
As long as you’ve been canvessing Lucaya and Marco City people are just now asking you to run again? As a CDR candidate in 2002 you polled 80 votes and even ain get your deposit back!(the treasury thanks) You join the P.L.P, now ya writing all kinds of letters trying to gain brownie points with Christie!

    YA WAN RUN AGAIN AH???

Don’t fool yourself homie, you been in the political graveyard longer than those bones Ezekiel brought back to life. Give it a rest! Those people you saw at that funeral are just bad memories! DON’T GO THROUGH THE REMAINING YEARS OF YOUR LIFE LOOKING S.T.U.P.I.D with another cut behind under your belt.

I think you should stick to being a J.P. After all, it is close to M.P and you did not have to beg anyone to vote for you!

And funny thing, you should be talking about protocol and religion after that attack you made on the Catholic church and the Pope in September. Protocol should have dictated to you, that for someone who appears to have dusted off his politic hat and want to be in public office,
(MR. LEADERSHIP COUNCIL) the diarrhea about the Catholic Church could come back to bite you in your behind big time! There are many Catholics in all the constituencies in the Bahamas and trust me, you have offended them!

SAVE YOURSELF THE EMBARRASSMENT, RUN FOR COVER AND NOT THE HOUSE!

  47. @Yutz ya c time
You pray I do not have children with that mentality??? Well it looks someone beat me to the punch, the __________ with the ignorant mentality is already here!! You own that title hands down. Now go thank the person who cause you to have it!

    @Awakened
Say Jealous, Nigger please!! OH SNAP, your diarrhea is back again!

  48. @nisharolle T know you have to be a young child by the things you say, but young lady, I have the time, I have the intelligence, and the computer, to type my opinions all I want, don’t be jealous of me, this site does not belong to you, the Internet does not belong to you, I pay for this, I have never asked for your vote, so I’ll hit every post, because I can, so get over it babe, I’ll see you when you, at your next response.

  49. @Mike How about one representative Mike, that shouldn’t cost to much, and on saving money, how about cutting down that large government Cabinet?.

  50. I want to also make it clear that this is NOT the only event of the Church Ingraham has boycott.

Many would remember upon the retirement of the Archbishop Drexel Gomez as Bishop of the Bahamas, Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham never sent a person to represent his government or Party these also. This is a trend by the FNM leadership.

    Bahamas Press/Editor

  51. Larry :
Not one member of the Ingraham Cabinet was at my cousin’s graduation either!! What makes this man, and he is a man so important. Not everybody is an anglican it is a church, one amongst many. We have seperation of church and state, the more the church and politicians/govt. mix the better it is for the country and viceversa. We have religion and govt. all mix up for all these years, and aren’t we in such wonderful shape as a country????

    • All I say is small people have small minds. An important saga in the life of the country was missed but then I recall a quote on the blog that mentions that at the going away of Archbishop Gomez PAPA and his Cabinet also boycotted mmpphh.

  53. After reading these few posts, I am totally confused… How is all of this name calling going to help us move this country forward???

Now, I do know that we need to know our past and present to formulate our future but I am not sure where the name calling fits in…

I prefer to attack issues rather than people/personalities… If this is what our young people have to offer, we are in trouble and no wonder most of them do in parliament is laugh almost continuously….

  54. I am not an FNM apologist, and will probably vote PLP again in the next election. Investing money in the Miss Universe pagent, is an investment in the country, the 8 million spent included infrastucture improvements that needed to happen anyway. It was a shame that it took the Miss Universe pagent for it happen.

What you don’t realize is that those trips aren’t just the minister, but the minister and his travel party. You know these guys are spoilt they can only travel first class, it is a shame.

Your example of many from Grand Bahama going is not the best example. How many of those same people are going to be struggling to pay their bills this month or next.

  55. @mike

FNM apologist. and spending $8 million dollars plus on Miss Universe sends the right message. Get real man. This speaks volumes for a small nation such as the Bahamas, that yet again, a son of the soil is consecrated as Bishop in a country that has a population that greatly surpasses ours. And your point about sending a delegation during a depression is pointless and quite frankly stupid, but then again stupid is as stupid does. Many persons from Grand Bahama, the worst to be affected during this time, attended the Bishop’s consecration so I’m sure Brent Symonette, the Foreign Affairs Minister who was ‘elected’ to represented the people and who’s hand is always in the cookie jar, double-dipping, couldn’t manage to muster up a mere $1000.00, even if it came from the taxpayers purse. Dam disgraceful bunch is what they are.

  56. You know, I actually agree with nisharolle on this one, but for different reasons. I have to admit, that I am neither FNM nor PLP, I voted for the PLP in the last election, but in the election before that FNM and I am an anglican. Now that I got that out of the way.
The world is in the worst recession since the great depression. Sending a large government delegation to an event like that would in my opinion would send the wrong message. Now, I am sure this isn’t the reason they didn’t go, but it is a very good reason.

  57. Russell Johnson :@nisharolle Speak for yourself as am Baptist as well but recognise the monumental achievement that requires our self worth as Bahamians.A small country like ours have a representative in a foreign country where they have a population far greater than ours and you dont care.Give me a break and keep your mouth shut. You are a wutless Baptist but do not represent other more informed members.Take off your red underwear as its now affecting your brain.

I was not so stupid when you stood in my house in Lucaya and was begging for my vote. I think stupid would refer to one who walked the streets of Lucaya in Freeport, longer than the Isrealites wandered the desert and could not win that seat. The smartest thing you ever did was, realize that you were a failure, the people did not want you in Parliament and it was best to throw in the towel!

You can’t get in the House of Assembly, so now you spend your days writing and talking bad about those who are there. Ma Boi I though you had move past those bad political cut behinds Neko put on you. It seems the nightmares are resurfacing.

Yea, William Shakespare stop acting like you know it all, because according to the SEAT you are sitting in, YOU DON’T! Now you enjoy the rest of your day!

As for LOU, AWAKENED(the ignorant one) and RUSSELL, I am pleased to inform you that Pepto Bismol now comes in Cherry flavor for that verbal diaharroe that you guys have been plagued with since you joined this site! The three of you jump from story to story on Bahamaspress vomiting your diatribes, In the name of God, please know that other people besides you have opinions. Know that the word “I” in someone’s post REFERS to them, not you! Not every post on this site is about you, not every comment was meant for you! You are not a part of everyone’s conversation

GET OVER YOURSELVES AND TAKE CARROLL (Justice of the peace) WITH YOU!!!

  65. NISHAROLLE, YOU SHOULDN’T BE SO STUPID ALL YOUR LIFE. THE ANGLICAN CHURCH, WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT, IS THE COUNTRY’S STATE RELIGION. I ALSO ATTEND AND AM A MEMBER OF A BAPTIST CHURCH BUT THAT’S NOT THE POINT. IF ANY BAHAMIAN CHURCH LEADER IS BEING INSTALLED AS A BISHOP IN ANY RELIGION IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY, PROTOCOL DICTATES THAT SOMEONE SHOULD REPRESENT THE COUNTRY FROM THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND DEPENDING ON THE EVENT, THE PRIME MINISTER SHOULD ATTEND; IT’S PROTOCOL, NISHAROLLE, NOT STUPID POLITICS. YOU SHOULD NOTE THAT MY ONLY REFERENCE TO ANTTHING POLITICAL IS TO NOTE THAT THE OFFICIAL OPPOSITION HAD IT’S REPRESENTATION ON HAND FOR THE OCCASION AS THE SAME PROTOCOL DICTATES THAT WE SHOULD.

BUT INGRAHAM AND BRENT COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THE COUNTRY’S PROTOCOLS AND TRADITIONAL INSTRUMENTS OF GOVERNANCE AND THAT IS DISGRACEFUL. BOTH OF THEM ARE “N.O.T.H.I.N.G.S”

  66. @LOU Those statements from that young lady was totally ignorant and partisan, I guess she’s alright though, we have got to grow up.

  67. @nisharolle
With that kind of attitude – no wonder this Govt is now treating us the way they do (couldn’t careless)…about unemployed, suffering, health issues and even crime (house already took a break – still big, big problems to tackle)! Don’t wait until it hit home!

  68. SMDTA!!! Leave the politics in the House of Assembly and God’s business in church! I am a Bapist and that service is not important me, leave the taxpayers dollars alone! The govt was where they are suppose to be, in the Bahamas. 120 went and you still want to Cabinet?????

Fred Mitchell will visit OSAMA BIN LADIN if he knew where he was, he ain’t gat nothing to do!

  69. MY CONGRATS TO THE LEADERSHIP OF THE PLP. THE OFFICIAL OPPOSITION WAS WELL REPRESENTED BY OUR DEPUTY LEADER AND THE HON. SHADOW MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS, THE HON. FREDERICK MITCHELL. YES, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, WHERE WAS THE GOVERNMENT AND MORE PARTICULARLY, WHERE WAS THE COUNTRY’S FOREIGN MINISTER? OR HE DOESN’T REGARD EVENTS LIKE THESE AS IMPORTANT? I WAS EVEN REPRESENTED BY MY WIFE WHO REPORTS THAT SOME 120 PERSONS FROM THE BAHAMAS ATTENDED.

  70. they say they have no money except to give persons at NIB.WUTLESS AND SO CHILDISH but what more can you expect from a clueless Govt.We can hear you now Carl Bethel.
