POLICE REQUEST PUBLIC’S HELP IN LOCATING SUSPECTS

Police are investigating two (2) separate shooting incidents that have left two (2) males in hospital. Initial police reports indicate that shortly before 9:00 pm on Monday 14th November, 2011 two (2) men were at East Street, south of Robinson Road when they were approached by three (3) men one of whom was armed with a handgun, demanding cash. It is reported that one of the males on seeing the culprits ran. The other man was subsequently shot to both legs and taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he is detained in stable condition.

The second shooting incident occurred around 4:00 am on Thursday 15th November, 2011. According to police reports the victim, a 20 year old male of Golden Isles Road, was at Finlayson Street off Poinciana Drive when he got into an altercation with another male and was subsequently shot to the hand. The victim was taken to hospital via private vehicle where he is detained in stable condition. Police are following significant leads into the matter. Active police investigations continue.

POLICE INVESTIGATES ARMED ROBBERY

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating two (2) men responsible for an armed robbery at Snack Food Store, Wulff Road and Quintine Alley. The incident reportedly occurred around 12:30 pm on Monday 14th November, 2011. Initial police reports indicate that two (2) men, both of whom were allegedly armed with handguns entered the establishment and demanded cash. The culprits robbed the establishment, along with an employee of an undetermined amount of cash and fled the area south on Quintine Alley. Police are investigating and are appealing to members of the public who may have any information regarding this or any other incident to contact police at 911, 919 the CENTRAL DETECTIVE UNIT @502-9991, 502-9910, CRIME STOPPERS@ 328-TIPS.

POLICE REQUEST PUBLIC HELP IN LOCATING SUSPECTS

Police are requesting the public assistance in locating two (2) men responsible for an armed robbery at Asue Draw located Wulff and Kemp Roads. The incident reportedly occurred shortly before 3:00 pm on Sunday 13th November, 2011. According to police reports two (2) men both of whom were allegedly armed with handguns entered the establishment and demanded cash. The culprits robbed the establishment of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area in a gold Honda Accord L/P 147990. Active police investigations continue.

UPDATE: SHOOTING INCIDENT MARSHALL ROAD

On Sunday 13th November, 2011 a shooting incident occurred at Marshall Road where a 65 year old male was shot to the thigh. In reference to this matter, the victim was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he was treated and later discharged. Police are continuing their investigations into this matter and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the three (3) men responsible for the shooting. POLICE UNCOVER HANDGUN & DRUGS

Officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) removed a handgun along with a quantity of ammunition from the streets of New Providence last evening. Initial police reports indicate that around 7:00 pm on Sunday 13th November, 2011 DEU officers acting on information proceeded to Homestead Street where they observed a male wearing a white t-shirt and a dark colored pants acting suspiciously. It is reported that the suspect on seeing the officers fled. Offices gave chase and observed the suspect throw an object on top of a nearby house. The suspect was able to evade police; however, a search of the house top revealed a handgun and ammunition. Moments later officers executed a search warrant on an apartment at Homestead Street and discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. Two (2) males ages 16 and 26 years were taken into custody. Active police investigations into both matters continue.

POLICE IDENTIFY MURDERED VICTIM

On Saturday 12th November, 2011 around 2:18 am a shooting incident occurred at St. James Road off Kemp Road which resulted in a male being killed. Police have identified the deceased as 28 year old RANDINO DEVON PRATT of WINTON. Police are continuing their investigations into this matter and are appealing to members of the public who may have any information regarding this incident to contact police.

SUSPECT HOSPITALIZED AFTER BEING CAUGHT

A 37 year old male is hospitalized under police guard, as a result of being caught red handed breaking into a vehicle by the owner. According to police reports, sometime around 4:20am Monday 14th November 2011, a male resident of Pioneer’s Way reportedly caught the suspect breaking into his vehicle which was parked in the front of his residence. The owner of the vehicle confronted the suspect which resulted in him sustaining injuries. The suspect was arrested by the police and taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital where he is detained in stable condition. Active police investigations continue into this matter.

THE THING IS THE POLICE IN HARMS WAY BIG TIME JUST GO’S TO SHOW THEY WILLING TO DIE FOR THE FNM…
