38,000 lbs of relief aid for Central and Southern Bahamas


On Sunday, October 4th, U.S. Charge d’Affaires a.i. Lisa Johnson with the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance handover 38 thousand pounds of relief aid for southern and central Bahamas.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), with the assistance of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF), received the shipment which includes tarps, kitchen sets, water containers, blankets, and hygiene kits upon arrival at Jet Aviation in Nassau. Minister of Transport and Aviation Glenys Hanna-Martin was also on hand in a show of support and appreciation on behalf of The Bahamas government. #USAID
