
FREEPORT| Police in Grand Bahama have launched an investigation following the discovery of suspected human remains in a bushy area near East Mall Drive on Tuesday August 18th.
Shortly before 12pm, a man contacted police after discovering what appeared to be a human skull while walking through a bushy shortcut leading to East Mall Drive.
Officers responded to the area and were directed approximately 30 feet into the bushes, where they observed what appeared to be a human skull. A subsequent search of the surrounding area resulted in the discovery of additional remains believed to be human.
Detectives processed the scene, and the suspected remains were collected and transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital.
A pathologist will examine the remains as part of the ongoing investigation. The investigation remains ongoing.
