Well almost as one man was caught with a firearm yesterday.
A 29- year old man is in custody after he was arrested for Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm on Friday.
According to reports, around 9:00am, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit acting on intelligence executed a search warrant at a home located at Nigeria Drive, Flamingo Gardens and found a handgun along with a quantity of ammunition.
The suspect was taken into custody and will appear in court early next week to face firearm related charges.
And then later yesterday a 36- year old man is in custody after he was arrested for Possession of a large quantity of Dangerous Drugs.
According to reports, around 9:30am, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit acting on intelligence executed a search warrant at a home located at Bird Court, Malcolm Road and found 15 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $15,000.
The suspect was taken into custody and will appear in court early next week to face drug related charges.
Other than those two bits of news since it was government pay day everyone was eating and the town was quiet. Perhaps this tells us something. When people get paid they have no time to rob, stab, jookup or kill anyone.
