Nassau, Bahamas — Some people who go to Bay Street just don’t know how to behave. Early this morning around 1am was the People’s Rush and then, there was a shooting incident in the heart of the event.

The Junkanoo started off with a grand fanfare. It was wonderful. It was beautiful. The music was colourful, but then the troublemakers came. The parade had to be cut short due to security reasons. And the natives were told to go home.

One Family the most beloved group on these occasions didn’t get the chance to parade. What disappointment!

The shooting incident that has left three men detained in hospital and at least one suspected gunman in police hands.

Preliminary reports are that shortly before 5:00am, three men were at George Street, when they were each shot by a man armed with a handgun who fled on foot.

The victims were taken to hospital where they are detained in stable condition.

A short while later police took a 21 – year old man into custody for questioning in reference to this incident. Police are searching for another suspect believed to also be the triggerman.
