Police makes another drug arrest…

Nassau, Bahamas  — A 20-year old male is in custody after police arrested him for possession of Dangerous Drugs, on Friday 7th September 2012.

According to police reports, around 12:40am officers from the Selective Enforcement Team were on patrol in the Wilson Track area, when they observed the suspect acting suspiciously. The officers conducted a search of the suspect and found a quantity of suspected marijuana. The suspect was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.

Police investigation continues.

SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT TEAM ARREST MALE FOR FIREARM POSSESSION

A 17-year male is in custody after police arrested him for possession of unlicensed firearms on Friday 7th September 2012.

Police reports indicate, around 8:25pm officers from the Selective Enforcement Team arrested and took into custody the 17-year old male, who was wanted for questioning reference to the discovery of four (4) handguns at a local nightclub on Nassau Street on Friday 30th August 2012.

Police investigation continues.

POLICE DISCOVERS DRUGS

According to police reports, around 6:45pm on Saturday 8th September 2012, police were on patrol in the Sea Link Drive area in South Beach, when they observed a male suspect acting suspiciously. The suspect on seeing the officers dropped a bag to the ground and fled on foot. The officers gave chase but were unable to catch the suspect.

The officers on checking the bag discovered it to contain a quantity suspected marijuana.

Police investigation continues.
