FIREARM ARREST

Sometime around 7:56 pm on Friday 16th April, 2010 officers of the Mobile Division and the Selective Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a residence on Dunmore Street off Baillou Hill Road.  Officers searched and recovered a handgun with ammunition in an eastern bedroom closet.  Three (3) people were taken into custody, two females ages 23 and 27 years and a 32 year old male, all of Dunmore Street.  Police are investigating.

ARMED ROBBERY
Sometime around 10:06 pm on Friday 16th April, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at J.J’s Takeaway South Beach Road.  Police responded and information received two masked males one of whom was clad in a black shirt and camouflage pants, both allegedly armed with firearms, entered the establishment demanding cash. Suspects robbed the establishment of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area on foot in a northerly direction, through nearby bushes.  Police are investigating.

ARMED ROBBERY
Sometime around 10:17 pm on Friday 16th April, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at Yamacraw Hill Road.  Police responded and information received, a male was walking on Yamacraw Hill Road when a jeep pulled alongside him and a male allegedly armed with a shotgun exited.  It is reported that driver of the jeep pull off and the culprit allegedly armed with a shotgun robbed the male of an undetermined amount of cash, jewelry and cell phone.  The culprit fled the area on foot in a westerly direction.  Police are investigating.

ARMED ROBBERY
Sometime around 1:28 am on Saturday 17th April, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at McCullough Corner off East Street.  Police responded and information received, a male on arrival to his residence was approached by three (3) males, one of whom was allegedly armed with a handgun demanding cash.  The culprits robbed the man of his jewelry, cell phone and an undetermined amount of cash.  The culprits fled the area on foot.  Police are investigating.

ARMED ROBBERY
Sometime around 1:15 am on Saturday 17th April, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at the parking lot of Hammer Heads, East Bay Street.  Police responded and information received, a 27 year old male was in the parking lot of Hammer Heads when he was approached by two males both allegedly armed with handguns.  The culprits robbed the man of his cell phone and jewelry and fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.  Police are investigating.

DRUG ARREST

Sometime around 2:10 am on Saturday 17th April, 2010 officers of the Mobile Division while on patrol on Meeting Street and Augusta Street observed the occupants of a  red 2005 Suzuki Ignus SD #1161 acting suspiciously.  Officers stopped the vehicle, conducted a search and recovered a quantity of suspected cocaine.  The four occupants of the vehicle, a Bahamian male of Rockwell Estates off Rocky Pine Road, a husband and wife of Orlando Florida, and a female of Florida were taken into custody.  Police are investigating.

ARMED ROBBERY/SHOOTING

Sometime around 3:46 am on Sat.17 April, 2010 police received information of a shooting at Nassau Village.  Police responded and discovered a 21 year old female of Marathon Road with gunshot injuries to the back.  It is reported that the female while in Nassau Village was robbed of her burgundy Maxima L/P # unknown and subsequently shot to the back after resisting.  The victim was taken to hospital via EMS where she is detained. Police are investigating.

DROWNING

Sometime around 3:45 pm on Saturday 17th April, 2010 police at Central Andros received information of a drowning at Blanket Sound, Andros.  Information received, a 52 year old male of Illinois was on a diving trip off Blanket Sound, Andros, when the incident occurred.  The victim was taken to the local clinic, where he was pronounced dead by the Doctor.  Police are investigating.

SUDDEN DEATH

Sometime around 4:45 pm on Saturday 17th April, 2010 police received information that a 3 year old toddler was found unresponsive in a green 2001 Nubira Daewoo L/P 99249 on Abner Street off Fox Hill Road.  Police responded and discovered the toddler in the front passenger seat of the vehicle clad in a Jeans jumper and red shirt with no visual signs of trauma.  EMS personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead.  The parents of the child a 44 year old female and a 50 year old male, has been taken into custody.  Police are investigating.

STABBING

Sometime around 12:09 am on Sunday 18th April, 2010 police received information of a stabbing at Tonique Williams Darling Highway.  Police responded and information received a 19 year old male while on Tonique Williams Darling Highway got into an altercation with a group of males which resulted in the victim being stabbed to the head.  The male was taken to hospital via EMS personnel.  Police are investigating.

ARMED ROBBERY
Sometime around 2:34 am on Sunday 18th April, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at Cowpen Road.  Police responded and information received, a male on arrival to his residence at Cowpen Road, was approached by two males clad in hooded jackets, one of whom was allegedly armed with a handgun.  The culprits robbed the man of jewelry, his cell phone and an undetermined amount of cash.   The culprits fled the area on foot in a southerly direction.  Police are investigating.

ARMED ROBBERY
Sometime around 4:25 am on Sunday 18th April, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at the Prince Charles Shopping Centre, Prince Charles Drive.  Police responded and information received two males while at the ATM machine was approached by two other males clad in hooded jackets, one of whom was allegedly armed with a handgun.  It is reported the culprits robbed the men of an undetermined amount of cash and a white 2005 Honda Accord L/P # unknown. The men fled the area in the vehicle in an unknown direction.  Police are investigating.

DRUG ARREST
Sometime around 10:40 am on Sunday 18th April, 2010 officers of the Mobile Division acting on information proceeded to the Hutchinson Street area off Poinciana Drive.   While there officers conducted a search of a female handbag and recovered a quantity of suspected marijuana.  The 53 year old female of Hutchinson Street was taken into custody.  Police are investigating.
