Atlanta, Georgia –  Randy E. Rolle, Bahamas Consul General to Atlanta and the surrounding area has confirmed that popular producer Will Packer is “very much interested” in The Bahamas for potential film projects.

Packer is the Think Like A Man producer whose credits also include the upcoming Think Like A Man Too, Stomp The Yard, This Christmas, Takers, Three Can Play That Game and Obsessed. His new film Ride Along starring Ice Cube, Kevin Hart and John Leguizamo hits theaters on January 17, 2014. Rolle attended a private screening of the film and calls it “a good cop comedy” that will appeal to Bahamian movie goers when it hits theaters.

“Mr. Packer is presently working with our office in Atlanta to coordinate a variety of things pertaining to his interest in The Bahamas, including celebrating a major milestone in the islands with the cast of his latest film” revealed Rolle. “Opportunities such as this open up avenues for us to be considered a viable film destination industry. At the same time, it showcases the beauty of our islands on the big screen to potential tourists and investors. Over the years we’ve had success from many major motion pictures such as Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too, Pirates of The Caribbean, James Bond and so many other blockbuster hits. Mr. Packer’s success fits right into that legacy and we look forward to working with him and his team.”
