FIREARM & AMMUNITION/DRUG ARREST
Sometime around 3:00 pm on Sunday 11th April, 2010 officers of the Northeastern Division executed a search warrant on a home at Miami Street. Officers searched and recovered a handgun with ammunition and a small quantity of suspected marijuana. Three persons were taken into custody, two males’ ages 19 and 25 both of Miami Street and a 21 year old female of Ridgeland Park. Police are investigating.
FOUND FIREARM AND AMMUNITION
Sometime around 5:30 pm on Sunday 11th April, 2010 officers of the Central Detective Unit acting on information proceeded to a track road in the vicinity of the Spikenard Cemetery off Cowpen Road. There officers recovered two handguns and ammunition. No one was taken into custody. Police are investigating. ??SHOOTING??Sometime around 2:30 am on Monday 12th April, 2010 police received information of a disturbance at Arawak Cay. Police responded and information received, two men one of whom was clad in a beige hooded jacket and allegedly armed with a handgun, got into an altercation while in the area of the BRIDGE at Arawak Cay which resulted in a male being shot to the right elbow. The victim was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he is listed in stable condition. The culprit fled the area in a Blue Chevy truck in an unknown direction. Police are investigating.
ARMED ROBBERY
Sometime around 3:00 a.m. on Monday 12th April, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at Jumbey Street, Pinewood Gardens. Police responded and information received, a male while at home was awoken by two (2) males both clad in shorts jeans pants, allegedly armed with handguns demanding cash. The culprits robbed the man of an undetermined of cash and a cell phone and fled the area in an unknown direction. Police are investigating.
