Behold the day of Judgment cometh! Their term has been washed in CORRUPTION AND SCANDAL! And now it is time for the voters of the Bahamas to return the favour and show NO COMPASSION FOR PAPA AND THE OUTGOING FNM REGIME!

BEHOLD THAT GREAT SHALL SOON COME!

Nassau, The Bahamas –  The devastation which resulted from the February 14, 2011 inferno that raged through the Betty K Agencies and destroyed a number of buildings and businesses in the immediate area, may soon become a downtown waterfront green space.

“The Betty K shipping operation was scheduled to move to Arawak Cay in May.  It was a historic building and one of our oldest buildings, however it’s now going to be a green field and we will have to determine in consultation with them what is the best and most appropriate use for it,” said Environment Minister, Earl Deveaux.

“There was some consideration previously to [Government] acquiring the property.  I’m not sure if that will happen now.  Once the place is cleared and the shipping is moved, we have more options as to what happens downtown.”
The fire department worked to save the structure of the buildings from collapsing, so that combustibles within the debris could be safely removed after the blaze was extinguished.

“This was a huge fire and an intense fire.  Fortunately, they were able to keep it as confined as they could.  The Fire Marshall investigated and found that the fire started in the telephone box,” said Minister Deveaux.

The reference was to a faulty telephone electrical box in the C. Trevor Kelly building.

“Once the Fire Department seized control of the environment, they assessed the damage of the surrounding buildings. You may have noticed they were putting lots of water on the surrounding buildings to be sure there was no structural impairment to the integrity of those buildings, and then they could meticulously remove the debris,” he said.

Minister Deveaux was reassuring that the emergency team dispatched from his Ministry and National Security had secured an emergency plan to save Bay Street.

“Having now gotten the Betty K building under control, and securing the other buildings, they would start completing the job of demolishing,” said Dr. Deveaux.

“Unlike the Straw Market fire, the fire trucks were pumping water from the ocean, the Defence Force vessel was supplying our support, the Lynden Pindling Airport Fire  Authority was there.  They were able to mobilise significant resources to help preserve and protect the surrounding buildings.”

A compromise, after careful negotiations, is expected to preserve the downtown waterfront dock’s place in Bahamian history.

“One of the first things the Prime Minister directed when he came on site was to ask that as many pictures as possible be taken of the building, so that we could preserve the memory of it in photos,” said Dr. Deveaux.

The fire has altered the original plans to utilize the dock and building, as the cornerstone of the historical Revitalisation of Downtown Bay Street.

  1. @Freetinka:The government was quick to comment on this Kelly fire, do you know if they ever commented on or concluded the fire at the PLP headquarters some years ago? I am just curious that, a conclusion could be made so soon following such a terrible fire at this location and, could not be done with the other one. Did they have a super special team of investigators that were not called in at the other place?

  2. @looking “probably” means that they are not sure, however through their uncertainty they close the case, and will have all the evidence destroyed and hauled off in large trucks for $40.00 for you and $35.00 for me, then be paid $1,000,000,000.00 in contrived Insurance money…

Which makes the perfect PLOT, BURN, COLLECT IMMEDIATELY, AND RELOCATE AT THE NEW CONTAINER PORT>>>…

Could anyone remember the cost of the massive container cranes at the container port in Freeport?

I am not sure but if I recall they were any here from hundreds of millions to a billion dollars, so>>>…

  3. Maybe as these men stand gazing upwards they are receiving supernatural information. In Friday’s paper front page it says: Bay Street Fire ‘Started in Phone Box’ It went on to say that the Government confirmed that the fire that ravaged an historical Bay Street Block on Monday, probably, started in a faulty telephone electrical box in the Trevor Kelly building. How can they say confirm and then in the same breath say probably? Are they trying to smear BTC once again?

  4. THIS REMINDS ME OF SUPER VALUE WHEN THEY NEEDED AN UPGRADE ALMOST EVERYONE WAS BURNT ALMOST TO THE GROUND…THE GOVERMNENT JUST GAVE THESE FELLAS AND THE PARTNERS IF I AM CORRECT SOME 30 MILLION OR MORE TO BUILD A NEW SHIPPING PORT..NA ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS BANK THE MILLIONS AND COLLECT INSURANCE…I SMELL A RAT…IF THE FIRE IS DERTEMINED TO BE ARSON INSURANCE WILL NEVER PAY..SO YOU KNOW ITS SOME ELECTRICAL PROBLEM THAT CAUSED THIS FIRE WHEN THE REPORT COMES OUT…SAD SAD SAD

  5. I sometime listen to the talk shows and I am reminded almost daily of the pain and suffering our people are experiencing because, of the way our country is going. Proverbs ch., 29verse2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. I hope these men of whom are looking up to the skies are reminded that there is a
God, and that(our) their redemption draweth nigh.

  6. The PM and them others can look up at the Heavens all they want, but ain’t nobody up there paying no attention to them. I got a better chance to get a communication reply from my dead grandpa, than them do from the Big Man upstairs.

  7. believe it or not, the possessors of Bahamian documents for the next general election have been a stressful thing that all who are nationals have to prove they are by spending lots of money to get those papers while non speaking english people can just go in and get whatever passports they like with no hassle at all. The Foreign Nation Movement was prophetic in speaking of corruption and scandal pointing a finger at the People Living Peacefully in the Bahamas to a plight where the next general election is already set with phony voters card and an all out assault that nationals would not go out to vote. The occult plays heavily in the affairs of the country and it shall be openly exposed in the days to come.

  8. I don’t know bout yinner, but when I seen this photo and the JUNTAS looking to the sky, I am reminded of the GREAT ADVENT HYMN NUMBER 54 in the Ancient and Modern Hymnal:

GREAT GOD, what do I see and Hear?
    The End of Things CREATED:
The Judge of all men doth appear
    On clouds of glory seated:
The trumpet sounds , the grave restore
    The dead which they contain’d before;
Prepare, my soul to meet HIM.

  9. History has a way of reperating it self. This statment very similar to one made in 1967. I hope you have a recollection of what happened at that time.

  10. The FNM will surely win the next election, just as sure as night turns into day.

The PLP will surely loose the next election, just as sure as day turns into night.
