Man gunned down by Nissan SD – This crime should be easy to solve…

Nassau, Bahamas – The country has another murder and police are searching for the person(s) responsible for a shooting incident that has left a man dead and several vehicles damaged.

The incident we can report occurred around 1:30 am this morning in the Yellow Elder Gardens community.

Preliminary reports indicate that the deceased was at Lightbourne Avenue off Seymour

Street, when he was shot multiple times by the occupant(s) of a white four (4) door Nissan SD vehicle.

The occupants of the SD made good their escape.

This latest incident records the 68th murder for the year.

A 28-year-old dies in traffic fatality on Prince Charles Drive overnight

Nassau, Bahamas — Police are investigating a traffic accident that has left a 28- year-old man dead, and a 19-year-old in hospital.

The accident reportedly occurred around 8:30 pm on Saturday and involved a gray 2002 Nissan Maxima and a black 2004 Kia Sorento.

Preliminary reports indicate that both vehicles were traveling east on Prince Charles Drive, in the area of St. Augustine College Monastery, when the accident occurred.

The driver of the Kia received serious head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he is detained in stable condition.

Bahamas Press is concern with the high speeds on the new Prince Charles highway, which suppose to have been designed to lessen deaths on the roadways.

Police are investigating and appealing to members of the public who may have any information that can assist police with their investigations to contact Traffic Police at 393-7204, 393-7713/4.
