  1. I like Branville. Moreover, after stating that he was married, little miss, should have realized he wanted to move on from that sort of conversation. He played it off good, but clearly uncomfortable. I don’t think his wife would have liked the jokes “homegirl” was making. But she continued. This is the way that young girls come onto older married man! Whether she was just “playing” or not, it was in poor taste and is NOT funny. Little girls should not joke with grown married men in that way EVER!

People want to know where he stands on the issues and I think her style of interviewing could not be taken seriously. “what’s up with that”…..she said that several times.

  2. I have a real problem with the glamorization of dumbness and the rejection of intelligence by Bahamians. What is the point of this foolishness? Surely, we have very serious problems which require serious solutions and discussion?

  3. If you judge this interview, it seems this gal is one airheaded bimbo. Good for Bran being a good sport and showing a humorous side that most Bahamian politicians don’t seem to have. But home gal is a freaking airhead boob to say the least. Just my five cents.

    • If you think she’s an airheaded bimbo then you missed the entire point. Its purely satire.

Watch any Stephen Colbert or Jon Stewart interview with politicians; from the Presidents to Presidential Cantidates to political figures down and you’ll see what she’s trying to pull off.

Dats why she’s like…you this is on the record right and he goes yea and he plays along.

  4. I just loved it all I saw was just down to earth humour displayed by Mr. McCartney. Lets face it people, he IS NOT like the average arrogant, pumpous “snuffed” shirt and tie politician who is not approachable, who you always need an appointment to see. Well done TAP and Mr. Mccartney, the only thing I am waiting to hear is you jumping that sinking ship and seeking your political aspirations elsewhere so you can soar to greatness. Not necessarily the P.L.P either!

  5. I LIKE THE INTERVIEW. HE WILL MAKE A GOOD PM PUTTING BAHAMIAN FIRST DOWN TO EARTH GREAT MAN I WILL VOTE FOR HIM WE COULD USED A MAN LIKE HIM IN THE PLP HANG WITH PERRY FOR FIVE YRS. THEN BECOME PLP LEADER??? MCCARTHNEY & RYAN PINDER DP SOUND LIKE A DREAM TEAM TO ME.

  6. This is just stupid stuff. Bran needs to let it go. he doesn’t have the stuff to be PM. Has no trackrecord or intellectual depth.

  7. I found this ‘interview’ rather distasteful and frankly embarrassing. TAP crossed the line with salacious innuendoes and obvious overtures. My unsoliciated advice to the Hon. Branville McCartney would be to lay your political foundation as thoughtfully, reverently and cleanly as possible.

    • i-Luv: you need to lighten up my dear. How come you have never opposed the swimsuit competition in beauty contests? thinterview was cool. And where were you when newsman was making disparaging remarks about black people on this site?Take my unsolicited advice and just shut-up.

  8. i like the lighthearted way in which it was done. i like a man who does not duck but is still approachable. mr. mccartney, i have always voted fnm but expect that i will gravitate toward you in the future. i like your style.

  9. An at ease interview that reveals the down to earth attitude of McCartney. This is what staying real is all about.I am happy that he addressed the question of his intentions in politics and puts to shame those who want him to wait his turn.Power is seized and it is good to know that McCartney is willing to accept the barbs and scorn of members of his own party to prove the point that he is able and willing to get into a leadership position and do good for the Bahamian people.McCartney realises that its no turning back so he is positioning himself to takeover the leadership of an opposition party after the next Gen Elects.
