Woman charged with stealing $69,179.25 while working in Administrator’s Office in Marsh Harbour, Abaco

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A 25-year-old woman is accused of stealing almost $70,000 from the Bahamian government.

Prosecutors say Leslia McIntosh stole $69,179.25 while working at the Administrator’s Office in Marsh Harbour, Abaco. The theft allegedly took place between September 9, 2024 and December 30, 2025.

McIntosh denied the charge of stealing by reason of employment at her arraignment before Acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans. Her bail was set at $9,500, and she returns to court for trial on October 1.
