The Government of the Bahamas has issued a Hurricane Alert for the following Islands:
Exuma and associated cays
Long Island
San Salvador
Cat Island
Acklins
Crooked Island
Long Cay
Mayaguana
Inagua
A Hurricane Alert means that Hurricane conditions could be experienced within the mentioned islands within 60 hours. The DRM Authority urges all residents in these islands to finalize preparations now.
