School repairs on the island of Moore’s Island are needed…Where is the local Government Money Going?
Moore’s Island, Bahamas – The community of Moore’s Island where Bahamas Press was up doing election polling this week needs some assistance and residents asked us to please have some matters addressed urgently in the capital.
Here are the photos from the government school there in the community. The grass has turned into high bush; overtaking classrooms windows. The bathroom smells like a septic tank; who are we paying to keep these places clean? The rotten wooden floor in the bathroom is just waiting for a child to fall through. WHAT A TRAP!
“BP, we want you to tell our leaders we want our school ready for Monday morning please this is unacceptable! We ain’t asking for much, we just want the school repaired. We know the ‘Terlet’ Paper DEM will not address our concerns because we are not the Treasure Cay Community, but, we know your news looks out for the poor and the weak! Yall effectively are read all over the Bahamas and thousand of Abaco residents read Bahamas Press by the minute! Please help us as we ‘ga’ vote just how you’ll advise!”
We report yinner decide!
