Grand Bahama police take 13 illegal immigrants into custody

Freeport, Bahamas – Illegal immigrants have been discovered in Grand Bahama.

Reports are that on Sunday 28th February 2016 shortly after 10:00pm, police acting on information went to an area in Tynes Bay, where a white Dodge van was intercepted with (13) illegal immigrants inside, (6) adult males, (6) adult females and (1) juvenile female, all of Haitian descent. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and taken into custody. Police and Immigration Authorities are investigating this matter.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS(8477) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS).
