DRUG ARREST
Sometime around 5:00 pm on Friday 23rd April, 2010 officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit while on Sunshine Way in the area of the park observed two males acting suspiciously. Officers approached the men, conducted a search and recovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. The men ages 23 years and 36 were taken into custody. Police are investigating.
ARMED ROBBERY/SHOOTING
Sometime around 5:11 pm on Friday 23rd April, 2010 police received information of a shooting at Sapodilla Boulevard, Pinewood Gardens. Police responded and information received, a 48 year old male of Coconut Grove and a 37 year old male of Talbot Ave, was walking on Buttonwood Street, Pinewood Gardens when they were approached by two males, one of whom was allegedly armed with a handgun demanding cash. The culprits robbed the men of an undetermined amount of cash and fled the area in an unknown direction. It is reported that the culprit fired gunshots in the direction of the men, which resulted in the 48 year receiving gunshot injuries to the hand and abdomen. The victim was taken to hospital via EMS where he is detained in stable condition. Police are investigating.
STABBING
Sometime around 6:10 am on Saturday 24th April police received information of a stabbing. Information received a 21 year old male of Bamboo Boulevard was at Lockhart’s Place on Wulff Road, when he was attacked by a group of males which resulted in him being stabbed multiple times to the body. The male was taken to hospital via private vehicle, where he is listed in critical condition. Police are investigating.
FIREARM ARREST
Sometime around 6:29 pm on Saturday 24th April, 2010 officers of the Carmichael Division acting on information proceeded to Hamster Road off Faith Ave. Officers conducted a search of silver 2007 Honda Accord L/P 218299 and recovered a handgun with an unloaded magazine. Two females both age 21 years and a 28 year old male of Sapodilla Boulevard was taken into custody. Police are investigating.
FIREARM ARREST
Sometime around 8:15 pm on Saturday 24th April, officers of the Southern Division executed a search warrant on a residence at Moore Ave off Palm Beach Street. Officers searched and recovered a handgun and a quantity of suspected marijuana. Two males ages 14 and 35 years were taken into custody. Police are investigating.
